फीस एक टेढ़ा मामला है. हरेक व्यक्ति की डॉ. से अलग अपेक्षाएँ होती हैं. चंडीगढ़ में 1000 रु. फीस लेने वाले भी हैं और 25 रुपए वाले भी जो पूरी तरह प्रशिक्षित हैं और ग़रीबों की बस्ती में कार्य करते हैं. 25 रु. फीस लेने वालों के यहाँ मरीज़ों की भीड़ लगी रहती है. मैं नहीं समझता वे कम कमाते हैं. बल्कि मैं उन्हें अपने व्यवसाय के प्रति अधिक इमानदार पाता हूँ.

उसके बेटे भी चिकित्सक है,उनके भी हॉस्पिटल है,और वो अपने पिताश्री की इस हरकत से बहुत परेशान बताये जाते है!यमुनानगर के चिकित्सको के लिए भी ये परेशानी का कारण बना हुआ है कि एक बहुत ही अधिक अनुभव और ज्ञान प्राप्त चिकित्सक इतना सस्ता इलाज कैसे कर सकता है..?
सभी मिल कर ऐतराज भी जता चुके है,पर डॉक्टर साहब है कि ऐसे ही इतने में ही इलाज बड़ी ख़ुशी से कर रहे है!

कठिन प्रश्न.... कोई भी इन्सान जो सेवा करता है ...उसकी भी एक ज़रूरत होती है...एक डॉक्टर की ज़रूरत यदि उसके मरीजों से पूरी होनी है तो उनका एक शुल्क उन्हें मिलना चाहिए..जो १०० से ३०० तक योग्यता के अनुसार होना चाहिए...

Anoop Anup Dear Divya. youhave started a great string. congratulations on that. I thought I was the only one suppporting you! I am trying to give comments mostly from doctor's point of vie and some from patient's point of view. From profession's point of view. No profession can be compared with this one. It is the greatest profession in many ways. As a result it is expected that the patient expects more from a doctor than say from a banker. Patient expects compassion. From doctor's point of view. Even without loans he needs to earn money to run his family. So he cannot run his clinic in losses day after day. Another thing. doctor is no god and cannot fix problems arising from patient's wrong choices - smoking, driving without a seat belt etc.From my point of view - patient's need to follow medical advise (if you do not respect someone you are not likely to follow advise given by that person) find a fair way to compensate doctors and then hold them accountable for their care. Warnings - I have given many warnings as i can see a danger ahead. High cost of private medical colleges will increase health care cost 5 to 10 times in about 10 years when these doctors graduate. It can be prevented if WE TAKE ACTION NOW.

If an average cost for a doctor to see a patient is say Rs 200 and he is forced to charge Rs 50 as the patients will not go to him the doctor will go for commissions (main theme of aamir's program - commission form lab and drug companies and referrals). Till that discrepancy is corrected no efforts to improve medical care will be useful. Aamir like most of his programs has brought to the surface questions but not offered any solutions. I liked your question here as it was the first step towards answering that question that Aamir raised but did not answer. That is why you need to be congratulated.
